Kids at this age are like sponges, the goal at this age is to expose them to different things and information. While they will learn information, it is not the main goal!

Please note that some things are religious-based. I will indicate all religious-based information with * on both sides of the information so if you would like to remove it from your homeschooling, feel free to do so!

Time:

A Half-hour is the 12 and 6 on the clock; when the long hand is on the 12 it is at the top of the hour and when the long hand is on the 6 it is called the bottom of the hour, or it is the half-hour. On a digital clock the number on the right will be :00 for the top of the hour when it is :30 you are at the half-hour.

  • Practice telling time by the half-hour!

This is very individualized… Look through week 17 to week 24 and add, remove, and rearrange holidays as fit in your family!

  • Memorial Day is always the last Monday of May. On this day we honor those who have given their lives to keep us free.
  • Lincoln’s birthday is always the 12th of February. President’s day is always the 3rd Monday in February on these days we celebrate and honor out presidents past and present.
  • Independence Day is always on July 4th. This is the birthday of our nation.
