Kids at this age are like sponges, the goal at this age is to expose them to different things and information. While they will learn information, it is not the main goal!

Please note that some things are religious-based. I will indicate all religious-based information with * on both sides of the information so if you would like to remove it from your homeschooling, feel free to do so!

Time:

A Half-hour is the 12 and 6 on the clock; when the long hand is on the 12 it is at the top of the hour and when the long hand is on the 6 it is called the bottom of the hour, or it is the half-hour. On a digital clock the number on the right will be :00 for the top of the hour when it is :30 you are at the half-hour.

  • Practice telling time by the half-hour!

There are 3 types of rocks on the earth.

  • Igneous – are associated with volcanoes
  • Sedimentary – are made by small rock particles (like sand) being pushed together.
  • Metamorphic – results from a rock being under very high pressure
