About Me
My name is Jennifer Grimm. I am a homeschooling mom with five kids. I am autistic, and so is my son (at least). I grew up in public school and struggled, when my son started to struggle in the same way, I took him out and tried to find a way to teach him. I discovered how he learned best. I also discovered that I had to write the curriculum myself. When I added my other children into the mix I also discovered that teaching five different kids in five different grades is not easy!
About Learning Through Life
Learning Through Life was born out of frustration in finding an affordable curriculum that worked for my family. To save others from the frustration and hard work of putting everything together I started Learning Through Life. We are all Learning Through Life, so let’s enjoy learning.
We are here to spread the love of learning to “kids” of all ages and abilities. We are a community (that means you) if you would like to help and write some posts on a subject that you are good at, please feel free to contact me (see email below) about writing something.
Our Philosophy
From before we are born, we were learning and we learn till the day that we die. Since we learn our whole lives, why can’t we just enjoy it?
We all learn differently. There are several different learning styles and usually, we learn using multiple learning styles.
I have changed Gears a little bit… We are learning Scouts. Kind of like Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts (Think Lone Scout Program) for learning. Pick and choose what “Subjects” you want/need your child to learn.
Use the Sticker Boards; Kids earn their stickers for each badge once they pass the “test” <for littles observation and verbal should do just fine> for each spot on the sticker board. All tests are not “Open book”, but they are untimed.

The future of Learning Through Life is up to you. I would like to make this business a non-profit organization to spread the love of learning. This is up to you as our customers, your membership will help us achieve this goal as some of the money you spend on your membership will be used to head the company in this direction.
Things I would like to achieve with a non-profit 501 c3
- Scholarships – (Need the money to form the 501 c3 and then start a fund that you can donate to)
- Digital Textbook and 1-year Workbook
- Camp scholarships
- 1 Scholarship application per child per year/camp
- Fundraisers
- Will allow your kids to participate and learn how to raise/use money.
- A portion of the money will go to the business (more than likely to the scholarship fund).
- Each participant would get a fund to use for school supplies, camps, or other things.
- Low cost / Free “Camps” – (Need to purchase some land for this except for the “Camping Camp”)
